TBC (The Bass Company) USA 5-String - "Stingray" w/19mm spacing - SOLD!

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD!

Love this bass, but not the bridge spacing, so off it goes. This was made by TBC USA (pre-China) when they were handbuilding high-end MM Stingray-style basses and doing them right. Specs:

Body: Alder
Neck: Maple, 34" Scale
Fingerboard: Rosewood, 22 frets
Bridge: Chrome Gotoh Style, Thru body or thru bridge, 19mm string spacing
Tuners: Chrome open gear
Pickup: Single MM-Style Humbucker (w/ears)
Electronics: Active 2-band EQ
Finish: Wineburst (kind of like Yamaha's)
Weight: 9.7 lbs

The bass is in excellent condition with just light finish scratches/swirls and one pinhead size finish dimple on the back. Just oiled/cleaned the board and restrung it with some fresh nickels (disregard the D'addario ball ends in the back pic, that was pre-string change).

I think this bass was over $1K new a few years back and I know Chinese made TBC's go for around $300 - $400, so how about $475 shipped in the US w/gig bag? PayPal is preferred, International shipping is fine (just PM for quote. Thanks.

Trades considered (will look at anything, but mostly looking for 34" Scale 5-strings, graphite necks (neck only or on the bass), lightweight heads/cabs. Thanks!

Man! If I hadn't just bought an MTD Artist 5, I'd be all over this!
