This is a mid-90's MIJ Fernandes FRB-40. During this time period, the "Made in Japan" and the serial # were on a sticker on the back of the headstock. Sticker is gone. I pulled the neck, and FRB-40 is stamped there. I called Fernandes and they said yes, that sounds like a mid-90's MIJ FRB-40, all right.
So. Plenty of dings, and massive buckle rash on the back, as you can see. Purplish foto-flame finish. Frets have been dressed, but aren't super-low. The 2 pink knobs are Nobeez, if anyone remembers those. 24 frets, and you can get a decently low action.
The original bridge pickup crapped out, and I put a pickup from a Highway One Jazz in it. Sounds fine to me. Selling it mostly because I've switched to 5'ers and I'm not sufficiently talented to go back and forth between 4 and 5 stringers without becoming hopelessly confused.
$125 plus shipping, or $150 plus shipping with one of those inexpensive TKL universal hard cases that MF sells.
Oh, and it's lightweight, too. Sorry, but USA sales only.
