TOBIAS

One of one of a kind Tobias six string bass. There is not, has never been, nor will there be, another Tobias built like this. A bolt-on Tobias bass built with many of the appointments you would find on a Tobias Signature. This instrument was built for me when I worked at Tobias.

Specs:

34" string length
Alder back, Wenge Tone Plate, Flamed Purpleheart Top
Clear Finish
Maple Neck w/Wenge Stringers
Pauferro Fingerboard
Hand Rubbed Tung Oil Finish on Neck
Shaller Tuning Machines
Tobias/Bartolini Pickups
Bartolini Electronics

It's pretty much mint, comes with original Tobias hard shell case and a few sets of Tobias strings.

$2900.00

That, my friend, is officially "drop dead gorgeous". I've got an old Tobias coming my way, with a purpleheart top, but I don't think it's that incredibly figured.
Freakin' wow.

Wow, that is one beautiful Tobias. Are you sure it's 16mm? I think most of Tobias sixes are 17mm. Either way, I think they are very comfortable to play.

That's a beauty! The Tobias 6 string is the only 6'er I've ever been comfortable with. I'm just starting to play my Killer B 6 pretty regularly at rehearsals,so I may make it my main bass for this project. So that one is kind of a Signature with a bolt on neck?

It really is a pretty piece, nice to play (though it has only been on stage twice), and it sounds just great.

I'm pretty sure about the 16mm thing as I just had a set of calipers on it. But now that you have sullied my mind (thanks for that, Captain Camembert ) with doubt, I'll go back and check it again.
