For Sale Only* Sonic Blue 4 String Jazz

Sign in to disble this ad
This is NOT a Fender. It is, however, Made in America, from what I feel are some of the best parts available. Warmoth light weight(4.8lbs)swamp ash body finished perfectly by them in sonic blue(as most of you know, Warmoth does not do nitro). Allparts bound and blocked maple jazz with(1.5) neck. Sanded to a lovely satin finish on the back. Rosewood fretboard. Fender single coil pickups in 60s position. Wiring harness series/parallel mod by Butch at Bayou cables. Fully shielded.Mint pickguard. Hipshot HB2 tuning machines and string through the body ferrules. Steel threaded inserts neck mod with heavy duty steel neck plate. GB201C string through or top load bridge with modern Fender american saddles. Matching headstock by Chris Bavaria formerly of PRS. Plekk fret level, beautiful bone nut and setup by Phil Jacoby of Philtone guitars also Formerly of PRS. The bass is in immaculate condition. Unplugged it projects clear and modern. Plugged in it's got a considerable pallet of tones. They're all there, especially with the series/parallel mod. I scoured the net to get the parts and was able to bring this project in at $1000.00. Sale price is $750.00 shipped to the lower 48. Includes gigbagTRADED! To a wonderful Talkbasser

Weight on my wife's fancy scale is 8.75 lbs. Series/parallel mod is a push/pull pot on the second volume. When pulled the2nd volume is nullified and both pickups work together sorta like a humbucker. the tone control works normally.

Thanks Toucan. I actually had one of these and loved it. But I think I'll pass, I've got quite a few Fenders.

My apologies I did miss the all in fun smiley. I just feel passionate about the lack of respect that parts basses get. What is grok? But I will heed your advice and just the specs it shall be.

By the way, I wasn't kidding about the bass being sweet. Looks like a great instrument. And I have 2 parts instruments (fender style) that blow away any fender I've ever played.

Absolutely! The neck never has to leave the bass. As you probably know. Most Warmoth bodies have a truss rod access route. The neckpocket is nice and tight. The steel neck inserts are there for the best possible mechanical connection between neck and body.
Thanks to all of you who have expressed an interest, and for all the kind words.
