Hi guys,
I have here an excellent player Fender Jazz Bass which dates to 1970 as per serial number, pots and pickups.
The finish in red, pickguard and the badass bridge are non-original. But everything else is.
I believe the body to be ash ( it is lightweight bass around 9lbs)
This bass is a great player. The pickups have plenty of output - I have used the bass in Latin Salsa gigs and that neck pickup's tone is thunderous - fat and babybass like. The bridge pickup is very sweet-like with that Jaco growl.
I am looking for a trade: high end 5 or 4 string jazz basses.
If you are interested - let me know what you have and we'll discuss any money differences. |

This bass was already refinished when I bought it. I got it because it is an excellent player. This bass original finish was ruined by the first owner who decided to spray paint it.
Me, personally, if I have nothing good to say about something I wouldn't post negative comments on anybody's thread.

Who did the repaint and relicing? | This really is a totally pointless post. If people don't like it, they won't buy it, obviously you are among this crowd. Anyway, your post does NOTHING to lend information to this post so why bother? |

Who did the repaint and relicing? | I don't think it's a bad relic at all, reminds me of a pino palladino relic....anyways that's an awesome Jazz, wish I could afford it. |

It was a mere observation. ..... He stated it was refinished before he got, which states it was beyond his control and came that way. ..... I'm sure the bass is worth every dime he's asking for. The statement was made purely on the 'fashion' statement relicing has become. ..... As so often when statements are taken out of context its the messenger who gets shot. .... I take your bullets bravely. .... And only one of you said you liked the relic job but all of you said you disagreed with me only because I voiced my opinion. .... Interesting! |

Interesting! | For sale threads are no place for negative comments unless they have some sort of constructive addition. Clearly, yours did not! BTW, sorry for not mentioning it before, I really like the relic job and the color is killin... |
