Trade Feeler 2009 Lakland USA Duck Dunn CUSTOM

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys-

I'm a little leary to even post this here because I swore I'd never get rid of this bass....and I'm not! This is a custom 2009 (pre Hanson) USA Duck Dunn from Dan Lakin's collection. Very low serial number (below 20). It's a very deep grand piano black with a beautiful block/bound neck. The blocks on this baby are not your typical pearls. These are abalone. The pickup is an early Lakland/Hanson hybrid split coil that thumps like a funk machine should.

The back of the headstock is signed and dated by Dan Lakin.

I understand it is for trade only (as for now ), but what is the "imaginary" $trade value you are thinking of?

I know you said "Real", but does a US made 62RI Precision get me anywhere?

He he!

well...the one "official" 44-51 around is now in the hands of Markus....I wish JP would trade from time to time as well...even if he would take a trade in plus cash....I would have done that a few times!

good luck selling this one...personally I think you are nuts....

But I do know how you feel....I like the P neck better myself....maybe JP would make you a matching P neck? just a thought...would not be cheap but....

I don't have any basses that would merit a trade with this one but I do have a question: What about the Jazz width neck didn't work for you? Did it impact the tone (less mass) or was it just personal preference?

So, after my wife and friends caught wind of me wanting to trade off the Duck, and given the many reasons why they suggested that I NOT let go of it, I have decided to hang on to the Black Beauty. I hope I haven't wasted anyone's time or GAS........if so, I sincerely apologize. I'm going to close this listing.

All the best,

Shadi
