Sign in to disble this ad
Have a 2002 MIJ Ibanez SR885 5 string I'm looking to trade for a MIM Fender. Prefer a P, but another J may be ok too.

Considering throwing a Digitec BP200 effects processor in with. It works great, just rarely ever use it. info can be found here http://www.digitech.com/en-US/products/bp200

2002 made in Japan, Fuji-Gen
ADX5 pickups
Vari-Mid III 3 Band active EQ with variable mid
Gotoh tuners
Accucast B25 bridge
Black, including neck and hardware
8.6 lbs on bathroom scale

Looks to be in sweet condition for a 10 year old bass. I loved my SR885 back in the day. They're so light and comfortable to play.

Someone will be very happy with this!

yes, bought it new in 2003 and only ever used it around the house a little bit. Its a great bass but just never could get into a 5 string. A couple tiny marks on the the edge near where your right fore arm would lay that aren't noticeable from a couple feet away, but other than that, still like new

I've got a sweet little MIM P with a vintage pickup of some sort, can't remember what the previous owner put in there. Sounds fantastic. If you didn't live on the opposite side of the country I'd so be all over this; shipping costs would destroy my soul.

The bass has a new set of D' Addarrio XL EXL170-5TP strings (.045-.065-.080-.100-.130) and will include a second unopened set of the same. Still have the Elixers that came on it, but the B string seems to me to have better tension with the D'Addarrio's, not floppy at all

I'm absolutely shocked this thing is still here. If I hadn't gotten someone to buy my MIM + hadn't bought an SR755, I'd have totally traded. This is a killer bass and someone will (eventually) be a very lucky/happy individual!
