Trade Feeler / Now For Sale: Lakland 55-02 Deluxe Amber. For JO5 or DJ5

Sign in to disble this ad
I just bought this from Basspraiser a few months ago(you could say it was only played in church on Sundays...really). After I bought it, I was reminded, I'm not an active guy.
I had this listed for sale on the LOG site, I'm now calling this a trade feeler.
I'm mainly interested in a JO5 or a DJ5. The only pre-amp I am interested in is an Audere. Its not a neccessity, but would be nice. Let me be clear...it needs to be a Lakland Definately prefer rosewood. This bass comes with a hardshell in perfect condition, I expect the same.
Color is not important, but I favor some colors over others.

This is one of the original Korean Ambers with the LH-3 pre-amp.
Rosewood fingerboard and Lakland hardshell case.

I am now putting this up for sale. Since no one wants to play trade-ball .

I got a sweet deal on this, so I'll pass it on.
Say $875 plus shipping. I will not take payment hits on this.

I will post more pictures tonight.

PM me or email me at [email]john@laklandowners.com[/email

This is a GREAT bass in great condition....if I had the money I would buy it back.....

This was in the first run of limited edition Amber quilt basses a few years ago.....but it looks and plays like new....

Trade?

This is not what you want but the only thing I have..........A cherry red Kingston Heir.......ash body (very light).......pickups upgraded to Nordstrand........preamp upgraded to Bartolini........bridge upgraded to gold Hipshot.......tuners upgraded to gold also.....gotoh........cavity copper shielded........frets leveled by local luthier. No marks, no scratches, no imperfections of any kind 9.9 condition.........maple fretboard..........just not what I am used too (pickups and neck width).........but probably the best bass I have ever had.

I have played a 4 string Yamaha 1100s most of my life and before that a 1972 Fender P bass.

It comes with a heavy duty MTD carrying bag/case in excellent condition.

I would like to have a Zon 5 Mosiac or a 5502 Lakland.
Good luck with your trade/sale.

I am saying that a JO5 or DJ5 (which you are looking for) would be more than a fair trade for this 55-02!

I think someone with a "spare" or underutilized JO5 or DJ5 would do good to shoot you an offer!

I'm interested I just don't wanna part with my DJ5. I love it! I've wanted a 55-02 for a while now though.

Can I ask what the difference is between a DJ model and JO model? I know they look a little different, but is there is difference in width's at the nut, at the bridge, also electronics, etc. I checked the Lakland website and they don't mention DJ model.

The DJ5 is discontinued. There is a slight difference in the neck profile. I've had 2 DJ5s and 1 JO5. I don't recall the difference. I like them both.
The electronics are the same essentially.
Point is I would be happy with one or the other.

$875 is a great price! I just played a 55-02 identical to this one at my local Lakland dealer and it is $1,525!

They recently redid these. he new ones are made in Indonesia.
Which ones are better? Matter of opinion I guess.
As I said, I should sell this for more, but I bought it from a friend that gave me a good deal. I don't feel right making $ off a good deal " I " got.
I would think this would not last long.
