I have a
1991 MIJ '62 Re-issue Precision that's in extremely good shape for a 20 year old bass. Looking to possibly trade for a:
- Marcus Miller 4, open to any config of wood and color
- P/J with a 1.5" neck or
- an Avalon U5 plus a little cash on your end
I refer to it as "Funk Machine" for the obvious similarities between it and Jamerson's bass of the same name. I call it a Steve Harris clone b/c i put on a BA II bridge and SD Quarter pounders, which are on the Harris signature model. The bass sounds super Motown with flats and aggressive with the right rounds. Some fret wear on the 1st few, but nothing I'm going to worry about if I keep it. Truss rod adjusts at the heel of the neck and works fine.
No issues with the neck. Electronics are solid. Minimal paint swirls and some flakage at the pocket, but nothing structural. I think it weighs around 9lbs and the nut width is 1.75".
Pics of the bass below w/o pickguard. I no longer have the control plate, and it is now wearing a white pickguard, but i also have a tort guard i'd throw in.
I can get more detailed pics up later and can answer questions for those interested in working a trade. Not interested in a sale at this point. I've got 3 other basses with wide necks, looking to get at least one that's slim.
Will ship Nationally, but not Internationally. also, if trading for a DI, would appreciate some help with shipping!
PM me and let's talk it out.
Thanks!
