Here we have a stunning 1989 SOUNDGEAR SR2000EDB (see avatar). I've yet to see another like it anywhere! I've had SR1000s & a couple SR3000 Prestiges and this one kills them all!
"Made @ FUJI GEN GAKKI, JAPAN"
Neck thru, finished in a stunning Deep Blue finish, ebony fretboard, 34" scale, Gotoh GB7 tuners & HB bridge (very cool Kubicki like saddles & top load bridge design), EMG P & J pickups & 18v Preamp. Strung w/ DR HiBeam 40s. Plays like a dream and sounds absolutely amazing!
My trade wish list includes:
Ex-Factor - Pre or Post Fender or FCS, are all fine, any color.
Road worn Jazz, American Jazz Deluxe, Boner Jazz or P-bass.
Peavey B-Quad-4 - Any color and no mods please.
Fender Urge - First generation only, any color considered.
Warwick Fortress or Streamer 4 or 5 string - Any color or config, no Rockbass please.
Conklin GT-7 - No fretless
MM Bongo 4 or 5
Some of these may require some coin on my end but am hoping to keep it as close to a head's up deal as possible. This bass is that nice....and again, extremely rare. Will consider other trades, including 5's & 6'ers (preferrably 19mm spacing), as well as trades plus cash on your end. Would consider another Ibanez, but only a 5 or 6 Prestige.
Thanks for looking!

Mainly looking for something along the lines of my "wish" list, but am open to other trades. Worst thing I can say is no....well, that's not the worst thing
Wanted to mention the bass is darker in person than it looks in photos. Comes with hard shell case. Plays like melted butter on a teflon skillet, action is ridiculously low. Here are a couple more pics.

| | | | 89 Ibanez I love the finish. I generally play Ibanez, they are so nice to play and you get a good sound. I always had P basses. A 64, AND 65. A Rick with stereo wiring. A Hayman with a maple neck I was playing basses to buy one and loved the SoundGear. Now I'm using a SRX690EX. A neck-thru. I really love the bass but the body needs to be shaved up near the bottom of the neck. You cannot get to the higher frets unless you wrap around. It will be fine soon. I will certainly check around and get back to you if I find someone. Why are you trading such a beatiful bass? |

| | Registered Schmoozer. | | | | | This is a slick bass. If I were looking for a light, giggable funk-machine four banger (and if I had any of the owner's trade interests), I'd look at this. A lot of the Japanese-made stuff from that era is very nice indeed, and this one just screams... well, to be slapped. At least to me! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
