As far as the bridge, it's very Kubicki-esque. The whole saddle turns to adjust height and the hex set screws allow the intonation to be adjusted. The only downside, imo, is having to have the string off of the saddle while setting the action.
It is, hands down, the nicest Ibanez I've owned/played!

Spacing on the Ibby 6'ers is a tad too tight for me. Prefer 18+mm spacing.

| | Registered Schmoozer. | | | | | Blast from the past! If I didn't already have a funky, EMG-loaded P/J I'd look hard at this.
Can you tell us more about the pre-amp and its effect on the sound? Do you find it musical in its operation at different settings? I know it's subjective (and I already have a "mental picture" of the sound of this bass that I bet isn't too far off), but it might help to get your impression/comparison to other familiar tones. My 80s vintage EMG pups are wired passively (well, 9V for the pups and passive tone controls). Also, when you say 18V, I assume that's 9V for the pups, 9V for the pre -- is that correct?
Looks like a killer bass.
