Extreme exotic but of course you know that if you know high-end Warrior's. Spalted maple top on a swamp ash Black body. Purpleheart/wenge neck with purpleheart fingerboard. Bart JJ with bart custom 18V preamp. These are the XJ series pickups. Think modern Jazz. handmade 4 tiered knobs. Volume Pan Mid (with mid switch) and bass/treble stack. 24 fret , 34 scale, 18mm spacing. Built in 2004. To replicate today would be over 5K and quite a wait. super low action. currently strung with DR Hi-Beams 45-125. There aren't enough of these out there to really get a good grasp on what it's worth but I'm mostly interested in USA Sady, USA Lakland or vintage Fender possibly others but they need to be in the realm of these mentioned basses. Shoot me some trade offers. All the punch and clarity you could hope for...I just need something a bit more traditional for the country gig. 5 stringers please. prefer 35" scale because I can hear the note better in my in-ear monitors.

when I had it, i had the action under the frets (if that were possible). The action can go ridiculously low with no fret buzz at all. Warriors aboslutely amaze me at how nice their fret work on the necks are. That spalted top is GORGEOUS and even more so in person. If I'd been in need of a modern sounding 5er, I totally would have kept this one. It truly is a work of art!

enough of my rambling...someone buy or trade for this thing. You won't regret it!

I have an Xotic XJ-1t 5 string that would be perfect for your needs. This bass is about 5 weeks old. The bass does the traditional Jazz thing very well. I am looking for a more modern sounding 5. This bass is mint. Please let me know if you are interested. Here is a Youtube link for you to check out the bass. Mine is exactly like the one in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnAubq4zbw4. Thanks.

If you post a "feeler" ad, you MUST post a price with it. This is not an auction site - If you want people to "bid" on your item, take it to ebay. Trade feeler threads are allowed, but if it turns into a FS thread, seller MUST post a price or the thread will be immediately closed or deleted.
I did...did you? again, he's hasn't posted a feeler ad trying to sell it. Only looking to trade it. If decides to open it up for a sale, then he must post a price. Maybe the mods should clear up that "Rule". It seems kind of vague and a little hard to understand. But as I read it, trade feelers are fine with no price posted. Only when you start soliciting cash deals must you post a price for said bass.

I did check the rules and here's what the rules say:
Trade feeler threads are allowed, but if it turns into a FS thread, seller MUST post a price or the thread will be immediately closed or deleted.

There now we have that settled, and Mikebass should know that I am not throwing him under the bus and do appreciate his free bump for a great looking bass. This is bass that just isn't for sale. If I get a bass trade offer that fits my gig, then hopefully I can do a straight up trade or a trade with gear involved if it's a little lop-sided.
