For TRADE: My '06 Warwick "Dirty Blonde" 4 string for your 5 string Warwick...

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought this bass literally two days ago. I wanted to scoop up on a local deal, but I intended on trading this bass from the get-go. I play a Peavey Cirrus 6 string as my primary instrument and I prefer 5 and 6 string basses.

I'm really looking for a '97 or older (preferably a 1995 model) Fortress Masterman 5 string + cash on your end. I had one before and lost it when my house burned down. I'm open to other 5 string 'Wicks as well. Show me what you got!
Here are a few pics and a link to the original sale thread from Jon. Thanks! -Luke

I may consider selling this bass. I'd prefer to trade it, but you can PM me an offer if you're interested in purchasing it outright. It's a beautiful bass! -Luke

I don't see anything in the sticky section about having to post a price. This is also primarily a trade thread. -Luke

There isn't if you are trading it, but this is also a for sale section. They have a seperate trade section they want you to post in.

Interesting, there are hundreds of "trade" ads in the "For Sale" section and where is this "trade" section you speak of?

I do not have a dog in this hunt but I do not see any "rule" listed that says you have to post a price; nor do I see anywhere that it says you cannot set the parameters for whatever deal you want to make. If there is such a rule I am sure a mod will point it out to you. And I also cannot find any "Trade Only" section.

This is in the Talkbass Classified Rules and FAQ's

"If you post a "feeler" ad, you MUST post a price with it. This is not an auction site - If you want people to "bid" on your item, take it to ebay. Trade feeler threads are allowed, but if it turns into a FS thread, seller MUST post a price or the thread will be immediately closed or deleted."

If your using a TB app you can't really see it unless your in the actual site. Also there is no separate 'trade' section. It all goes under classified unless your posting a 'want to buy. Hope this helps.

I'd still prefer to trade this bass, but since I listed an option to buy, I'll post a price anyway. $1,200.00 shipped to the lower 48. Please PM me for details. NO PayPal. Thanks, -Luke

If i had $1200 it woulda been sold already. And I don't think he wants to trade for an Ibanez exb445.

It's the lightest bass I've ever played except my Aria Sinsonido(headless and practically bodyless, lol). The bathroom scale say's somewhere around 6.5 lbs. Good to see you man! -Luke
