For Trade: A Nice Roscoe Century & A Super Jazz Bass.

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for trade are 2 of my basses: My super cool Marco Jazz Bass and my Roscoe Century Standard Plus.

All of my basses (except my Smith) have basically the same wood combo: Ash bodies, and Maple necks with fancy tops. These two basses have basically the same Specs: Ash bodies, Maple necks and Wenge boards. I’m looking for something a little different but I can’t say no to nice piece of Ash!

GONE. The Marco has a super nice Spalted Maple top with a sunburst finish, Hipshot bridge and tuners, Marco pickups and a 2 band Glock preamp with a active/passive pull knob. There’s also a nice F-Clef inlay at the 12th fret. This is one of the best Jazz copies I’ve ever played (and I‘ve owned quite a few like Sadowsky, LEJ, Lull, Nordy etc.), the slap sound is killer! Low action without any buzz. GONE.

The Roscoe has a nice Cocobolo top, Bartolini pickups (CBs?) and 3 band preamp. This bass sounds incredible and the B string is the best in the business IMHO.

I’m looking for trades only, looking for 5ers or 6ers with at least 18 mm spacing at the bridge. I’m willing to trade both basses for a nicer bass or I’m also willing to add cash for the right trade, not really looking to trade down. Looking mainly for other Roscoes, Smiths, MTDs or?

It’s gonna be hard to put a trade value on my basses, so just keep in mind that to have Marco build you a bass like mine will cost you around 3K, the Roscoe was $2600 new if I’m not mistaken. Both basses are in like new condition, the Roscoe comes in a nice Roscoe hard case and the Marco will come in a gig bag.

Feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking!

Lots of interest!

The Roscoe is a great bass but I already have 2 other Roscoes with an Ash body so this one won't get the playing time it deserves. Looking for a Smith BSR5MW, Roscoe LG/SKB3005 (any wood combo), Pedullas, a nice LEJ, CB, Elrick or? Try me, worst I can say is no thanks.

I'm such a gear whore!
