TRADED!!hi folks, I have up for trade a mint almost new cond. still has plastic on back cover . 2006 fender American P bass deluxe 5 string in tobacco burst with a maple board, Ash body, 18 Volt electronics and OHSC also in new cond. I picked this up from XavidmanX (tony) about three weeks ago and the bass is awesome, I'm just not a fender man anymore. I had a brass nut installed which looks like a piece of jewelry. I'm looking for an EBMM SR5 ONLY!! about the same age or newer with a maple board and H or H/S pickup configuration, other config. SR5's will be considered. heres some pics:

Not that it makes much of a difference, but that is a 2005.

Let me know if you change your mind about selling (instead of trade)

I wish I had the means to get this one back. Great bass. Ron is a great guy to deal with and knows his stuff. He really is just a MM junkie...

I'm pretty surprised this is still here. Someone seal this deal so it stops tormenting me!

Free "good luck" bump.

I've got a trans red matching headstock SR5. I'm tempted, but I have never heard, nor laid hands on one of these beasts. It would be a dangerous move.

Xring, go check out some of the ADPV threads in the Basses forum. There are some soundclips in there, as well as I think a Youtube clip or two. The main thing you'll want to note is that the string spacing of the ADPV is 19mm at the bridge, compared to the 16mm spacing of the SR5.

If you like a wide, flat neck, you'll love this bass. I know I'm hooked on mine.

That was one thing I noted. Thanks. Actually the SR5 is around 18. I had a warwick which I stretched from 16 to almost 17, and the SR5 is wider yet. I think a 4 string P is 3/4 or around 19, so yes, this is a wide 5. Totally doable I believe.
If I'm wrong on all these #'s, I'm sure I'll hear about it.

Interesting- the spacing on my ADPV is 19mm, and I was fairly sure I had read the SR5 to be 16, but I've never measured one personally, I was just repeating what I'd read. Sorry if I've misinformed anyone.

Edit: sorry again! I just double-checked my ADPV and it's 18mm, not 19. Whoops! Never mind me, just buy this guy's beautiful bass!

These are sweet basses... not easy to come by either. Good luck on the trade.

Fender does not make the Deluxe Precision V any more.

Just thought I would let you know, Fender no longer makes the Deluxe Precision V. It is now one for the ages and whomever can get a hold of one.

I know, I think thats why I have turned down so many offers. I am waiting for just the right offer, and I will as sure as I sit here regret getting rid of this bass.

So you're trying to tell me I screwed up big time by selling my Stingray the other day instead of trading it?
