Hey All,
I just picked up an Ibanez BTB1005e off of madumblack yesterday, see ad;

FS/FT: Ibanez BTB 1005

OK, here is the deal, These basses are truly amazing considering the price. Some info missing from the original ad, this is a BTB 1005e, which came stock with the Bartolini pick up’s, and Bartolini pre amp. This is also Made in Japan, and in ‘02 sold for about 1200-1300 bucks depending where you got it, the quality on the Japan BTB’s is top notch.

So, why would I put it back on the block after 1 night with her? Well, about 5 years ago I went back to the 4 string and haven’t looked back. When I saw the ad for this bass, (I had the 4 string version in 2002) and always dug the tone, I thought maybe it is time to put the 5 back in play. For me as nice as this bass is, it’s just not me. I have grown to love simple 4 stringers with passive electronics, and the smaller necks on 4's.

So, at this time I would be interested in trading her. I am pretty open, I like 4 string only, passive, or at least active/passive. I am mostly partial to J type necks but, would consider others. It must be a player first and foremost. Must be 34" scale, or 33", no 32" or 35"s please.

It would be great to do a local deal, I am in central NJ but, I am not opposed to shipping but, only the lower 48. We would each be responsible for shipping charges.

Also, if you have something less valuable, I would be fine with a bass + cash but, I am not able to add cash on my end at this time.

Bump for, new strings and cleaned up. Looks great, plays great.

Also, in the ad I forgot to mention value to base trades on. I'm thinking $550 range. A little better idea of what I would like;

Yamaha BB's, Peavey Foundation, G&L SB-2, Fender Mexi J's, Cort GB series, Home brew J's, (with quality parts), Ibanez Blazers and roadstars.

man if that was only a neck through model! I really dislike Ibanez SR basses, but the higher end BTB's are AWSOME! This is obviously the high end one right before they turn neck through.
