Just got this and it's an amazing bass, but the controls are a little too much for me!

Aero Custom Pickups
Zon preamp with selectable Mid and Treble
Piezo pickups with Bass and Treble Volume/Enhancers in control cavity
Controls are Vol, Blend, Bass, Mid, Treble, Piezo vol, 2 coil tap switches (one for each pickup)
9.5 lbs

35" scale, 19 mm spacing at the bridge, weights 9 lbs 5 oz. Not sure if it has a truss rod. How can I tell?

You have to take the neck off. I'm pretty sure that bass is a 1999, so it's unlikely unless it was added later.

That sounds like a lot of work :D

The serial # is 009146. The neck is straight with low action.

Sadowsky UV75? Natural swamp ash, maple fingerboard, black block. Just curious.

Most likely a 2000 model (not 1999), but still years before truss rods were used (or common). This bass did go back at some point for the electronics and matching headstock, so who knows..

FWIW, I've had 14 Zon's with and without truss rods, and never touched one. These things are rock solid.
