Trade Up Feeler - 2011 Olympic White Jazz Bass Deluxe V for your NYC or what have you

I am closing this and relisting as a for sale feeler

Need some $$$$ to pay taxes or Christmas bills?

I'm looking to trade up...
  1. Sadowsky NYC Vintage 5 P/J or Vintage 5 with Rosewood board
  2. Sadowsky Metro RV5 or RV5 P/J
  3. Or something similar in a JB or P/J config and body style.

My JB is in excellent condition, no physical or electrical issues whatsoever. Better than showroom condition. I bought it from Cascio Music before they put it on display. I use Gigbags so the case has never left the house.

Weight 10 lbs 4.5 ounces on my very accurate digital shipping scale. About 1/2 pound over average but balances superbly.

I'm placing its trade value at $1450 (I would also sell it outright for that if someone was interested). Figuring most of the clean non custom top, NYC's that I've seen recently are around $3450, Metros around $2200. So the tops I'm looking to kick in is $2000 via PayPal.

I don't mind a little mojo, I'm looking for a road warrior not a showpiece. Cash in will adjust accordingly, however.

The quality of the work on the neck on this bass is gorgeous. Smooth and even. No dead frets. No buzz.

Strung with DR Sunbeams with a .125 B

Gobs O Growl.

I found two NYC VJ5's and a RV5 P/J I'm very interested in. I would also consider selling outright for $1450 shipped.

This bass is only two months old

I've talked to a few folks and there are a couple of options available.

The more I play this, the more I think I might just keep it and do some pickup and preamp upgrades instead. The neck on this thing is very good and I'm getting used to the slightly narrower string spacing.

I'll leave listing up until Friday.
