Exclamation Traded!!! New Fender MIA Precision w S-1 Switch & Fender HSC + Extras!

Sign in to disble this ad
Picked up a NOS 2004 MIA P bass (black body w black pickguard & rosewood board). This is the newer one with the S-1 (series parallel) switch and the Hipshot tuners. I've been playing narrower necked basses lately (have a Jazz, a Cirrus, etc) and the wider spacing on the P ain't working for me. Still has the protective film & S-1 sticker on the pickguard. Has a couple of extremely minor scratches on the back of the bass from being on display at store. Comes with a Fender hardshell case. $775!! (these sell for hundreds more new anywhere else and this one is new old stock that I just bought).

I should add that she plays great, sounds great and that the S-1 gives another tonal option to the P. It tends to make it sound a bit like a J bass when the switch is engaged. I'll post pics these evening (running late for work now and have to leave).

Update: I'm going to include a brand new custom 5 ply Black Pearloid pickguard (It's beeing shipped to me now). Fender guards are 3 ply and a lot of aftermarket ones are only 1 or 3 ply. This is the real deal! I also just put on some new Ernie Ball Nickel Rounds. These are included also!

I used to think the phrase "intents and purposes" was "intensive purposes" too.

Pics will be posted these eve. Trades, I'll consider them, but they would have to be at approx the same value or item plus cash.

The blue thing on the pickguard is the sticker that shows the S-1 switch and describes it (peels right off along with the protective clear sticker on the pickguard). Case has a couple of minor scuffs (shown) otherwise good to go!

Nevermind. Just got done playing this for a couple of hours (after I set her up better). Best P I've played in a long time (low and consistant action, great tone, etc). I'll get used to the spacing. It's a keeper. Off da market.... Sorry and thanks!

Exclamation

Back on the block (made an EXPENSIVE purchase today: hint Urge II)! I also just ordered a REALLY nice 5 ply black-pearloid pickguard for this P offered here that I'll throw in for free! This is not a cheapo 1 ply or even the 3 ply that comes with Fenders. This is a very high quality 5 ply. I also just put brand new nickle wounds on her. Plays GREAT!!!! Anyway, new P back up for grabs!!!!!
