This Jay Turser JTB-501 is a pretty faithful copy of a 1954 Fender Precision. It has the curved body, the single coil pickup, and this one is classic black with white pickguard. To get the really classic 50's and 60's sound, I installed Labella Deep Talkin' flats. I've also added a period-correct Fender bridge cover, and then just for fun I used automotive striping tape to add a chrome Mustang-style competition stripe! (The tape peels off without a mark if you don't like it.)
Check reviews for these online and you'll find that this bass has a great reputation. Some even have tried a Fender single coil pickup in the bass, then gone back to the Turser pickup because they like it better! You'll find this bass all over the web in the $170-$180 range, but this one is set up, has a $45 set of strings and a bridge cover, and there is not a scratch or mark anywhere on it. Truss rod and electronics work perfectly. No case or gig bag comes with it at this price of $110...and NO returns!
This bass weighs only about 6 3/4 pounds new, and it was a bit of a neck diver. I added adhesive tire weights under the bridge cover to balance it (they're easily removable) and now it balances well and only weighs 7.5 pounds!
The bass is in Fort Collins Colorado north of Denver - or I will ship at actual cost. It's also for sale on the Denver Craigslist.
Here's the weight setup:
