SOLD Unique Fretless Jazz Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
One of a kind Fretless Fender Jazz Bass.

This is a "Frankenstein" bass I built using components from various other basses. The neck is from a recent Vintage Modified Squier bass. The body is exceptional and unusual though I'm not sure of its' heritage. It may be a special edition Squier or a real Fender.

String through body design, gorgeous green metallic color and real Fender pickups. I haven't weighed it though compared to my other basses it's not heavy at all. Great tone and a real player - not to mention stunning looks. As project basses go, this one could not have turned out much better.

The color is hard to do justice in photos but it's really cool.

A steal at $300 (shipped ConUS). PayPal or Money Order

What kind of strings have you been using (rounds versus flats) and can you post some close-ups of the fingerboard to view its condition?

Thanks!

He says "real Fender Pickups". So probably Am. Std pups. I'm guessing it's
a passive tone control... vol/vol/tone

With some TLC this could be a cool bass. Those Squier fretless necks aren't bad for the money.

I will get better pix of the neck. Hasn't been played much. I keep it around for "noodling".

passive electronics.

I categorize the pickups as "real" because they're not your usual Squier type cheap ass PUs. I was surprised by their loudness and tone.

I use d'addario light gauge round wounds.

Trades - not so much. I've got too much crap as it is and way too many basses. Trying to thin the herd at this time.

I really like this bass the look of this bass. I want a inexpensive fretless, but dont really like the VM tobacoo burst body. Without knowing what brand body / pickups its not worth $300. They might not be squier cheap ass pickups, are they Fender cheap ass MIM's? What kind of pots? Cap? I mean all we know is it is a squier VM neck. I would give you $200 shipped right now. You can get a Squier VM Fretless all day for $200.
