Univox Hi-Flyer (Hi-Flier), Matsumoku made!

No idea what year it is.

Has two hot humbuckers, basically it's a copy of a Mosrite ventures bass. 30" scale, very lightweight, in excellent cosmetic shape. Maple neck and body, rosewood fretboard. No fret wear. This one is natural with a tort pickguard.

Univox is pretty well regarded as one of the brands that was produced at the Matsumoku factory in Japan. This is a great bass that I wish I could keep but I'm narrowing it down to the bare essentials.

UPDATE: keeping it for now

My 1st bass was a Univox hi Flyer! Mine was White with the Big Black Single Coil pickups. It was Beat to #@!!, and that was in '76.

Nice Bass, Nice Price! And Matsumoku Built. Nostolgic Bump. <sniff>

apologies for not responding to the many PMs I got on this, I've been neglecting the PM box and haven't spent much time on TalkBass lately.

for now I am keeping it because I'll be traveling quite a bit for a few weeks and not able to ship anything.
