I'm going through some tough times and it would help out if I could unload some gear. I'm really hoping for a local sale (around Chapel Hill, NC -- near Raleigh / Greensboro / Durham) because of my situation and since I've never shipped a bass before.
Squier Vintage Modified P-Bass, bought new in 08, upgraded with off-the-shelf Nordstrand NP4 pickups and a chrome, factory-slotted Badass bridge. Never gigged with it (although I did bring it to one gig as a backup), and it's lived all its life in smoke-free homes. Comes with a $20 leather strap, a Fender gig bag (not padded), and installed Dunlop strap locks, along with all of the original parts (i.e. strap buttons, bridge, and original pups). It's strung with DR Lo-Riders at the moment.
The bass is as light as other VM Precisions, and it has no sound or playability issues. No significant dings either, although normal play wear on the back (i.e. not through the paint by any means). The Agathis body doesn't hold screws well, so I've had to fix a couple of the pick guard screws with toothpicks, and the strap lock holes could probably use some attention. None of these issues have gotten worse over time, and they're pretty standard from what I understand -- I just wanted to give full disclosure!
Asking
$220$200 in hopes of a quick local sale (sadly I probably can't drive to e.g. Raleigh -- you'll probably have to come to me). Given the Nordstrands and the bridge, I'm letting this one go cheap!
A few images. No digital camera, so any requests for more/better pics will probably be delayed...
