I know nothing about "nitro finish". Assuming it's not going to case a TNT like explosion, can you educate me (and perhaps other interested parties) about this type of finish? |

Nitrocellulose is a more traditional finish that guitars had in the 50s and part of the 60s. Polyurethane came later. Google and you can find several nitro vs. poly threads on TB and elsewhere. Nitro is a "lighter" finish that tends to let the wood breathe better. But it's a more delicate finish and thus shows wear easier than poly.
