US Masters 5 string (EP52?) $425 shipped

I picked this US Masters Magnus Performer 5 string up used a few years ago to see if I wanted to make the switch to playing 5 string. Conversion to 5 string is still in progress... Bought another 5 string, so I've got some inventory to clear out.

If you are not familiar with US Masters, it is a small shop out of Wisconsin, check out their website at www.usmasters.com.

It is a nice looking, sounding and playing instrument. I've had it for about 3 years and have had no issues with it. It is not in mint condition but has no outstanding blemishes or dings, no playability issues.

Its got Sperzel locking tuners and Dunlap strap locks on it. Will ship in new Roadrunner gig bag, as I currently have more basses than cases...

CONUS Only.

How much does it weigh? I bought one of those a few years ago because it was supposed to weigh ~7 lbs, but it was closer to 10. Nice bass though, real high quality. Does it have any issues with humming?

I had one just like this one. It is a great bass. Mine was very light ---rang and rang--un-amplified.......I guess you call that sustain!

The P pickup is a Kent Armstrong I think and is one of the best I have ever heard.
The neck is asymmetrical and compounded........also it is quarter-sawn.........pretty good for a bass in this price range. Did I mention it has a pau ferro fretboard which is the best of the best fretboard material (IMO)?

The pre is EMG........you may or may not like, but an easy change.

A great bass at a great price!

This is a performer series if I'm not mistaken. Used to be sold through Musicians friend. I own an EP-42. Maybe I should get it a sibling?

I agree, now that I see a performer, it is definitely a performer. I will update the description. I had tried to contact both Young and US Masters via email and phone and received no reply from either.
