US Masters Magnus Standard 5 trade for US Cirrus 5

I have a Magnus 5 I would consider trading for a US Cirrus 5.
Here is a link to specs:

The Magnus Standard Bass from U.S. Masters High Performance Bass Series

The bass is in excellent condition. I originally thought the Magnus would be my main axe but my US Cirrus fits my style better overall. I would like a second for backup. I would love a Redwood body w/Maple fretboard but pretty much any US Cirrus in good condition straight neck/VERY LOW action would be considered. My Magnus has the Kent Armstrong/3 band eq A/P option and the finish like the model in the pick (Tobacco Sunburst?).

How does this bass sound tonewise compared to your Cirrus? I have a Cirrus 5 and am curious to know how your bass sounds. I've been intrigued by US Masters basses for quite a while. Also, what type of fretboard does your bass have?

I think the tone is great but I don't know what to compare it to. Here is a couple links - me just play'in some stuff I came up with and a song my former band submitted for the "Big Money Shot" contest this year (Ottawa). I played the Magnus for that recording.

[quote=vstringbassist;11272143]I think the tone is great but I don't know what to compare it to.

Sorry, I meant compared to other basses but to your question: It is comparable in tone but a little more versatility as it has the passive option. I have a custom bass with Barts (active/passive) and the tone of that bass differs quite a bit from the Magnus & Cirrus (different woods etc. as well). To my ears I always felt I could get similiar tones when switching from the Magnus to Cirrus but I think the Magnus has less "growl" - a little more "smooth" if you will. I play hard and attack the strings with aggression for many songs I play and seem to get more "crunch" with the Cirrus. Since I never use passive, I won't miss that option, I just prefer active systems.
