US Peavey Millennium!

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought this back a few months ago here on TB. It needed a little love, and it came to the right place. I completely rebuilt it replacing some minor hardware, gave it a thorough cleaning, a new bone nut, and a complete setup. This is bass is everything that a US peavey should be. The only imperfections are one ding on the top edge of the belly contour, and a finish crack on the bass side of the neck pocket. I bought it as an experiment since I haven't had anything but Jazz style basses in a long time, and it confirmed my suspicions that I'm a jazz'er at heart. I'm just lookin' break even, so you get all the work I did for free! $400 Shipped w/ a Levi's gig bag.

For those of you that don't know, this bass features:

One Piece Maple Neck
Maple Fretboard
Alder Body
35" scale
J+MM pickups
3 band active eq. w/ sweepable mids
Hipshot Bridge & Tuning Machines

If you want the Millennium experience, this is a good place to start. The Hipshot tuners are especially good also.

Yeah, these are great basses, good tonal options as well. Get it! I'd get it if it were a 5 for sure.

Hmm...I've been looking for a maple-board Cirrus 4 to go with my fretless 6, but this looks like it has all the goodness of the Cirrus in a very affordable package...

Interested in any trades? Currently on my list of things to sell / trade are: Boss ME-50B, Boomerang Phrase Sampler, Keeley Looper and, erm, that's about it.

What's the neck profile like?

How's the slap tone?

Thanks very much,
J.

I'm lookin' for cash to buy a new camera, and I'm not much of an FX guy anyways. The neck profile is a thin symmetric "D" like most peaveys. The slap tone? Are you kidding? This things got a maple fingerboard, an MM pickup, and 3 band pre and a 35" scale! It doesn't get much funkier than that.

My bad. I looked through my pictures and I didn't have any that captured the sparkle finish either.

This is a great bass at a great price.
