This is listed elsewhere too, but might as well give it one more list here through the weekend as well:
The story on this bass is great. During the floods in Nashville, this bass was one of the victims. The neck was warped, electronics destroyed, etc... but she was given a second chance. The original owner let me buy the US body and some of the hardware that made it through the ordeal. I shipped it back to the factory and Carl Pedigo evaluated her and determined she was fit to rebuild. He then outfitted with a Skyline Maple neck, new electronics (including a Hanson Neo-Punch pick up) and used as much of the original hardware as possible. The result is an incredible bass with a voice clear and crisp that can slap with the best or growl like a p-bass should.
Now this bass does have some character for what it's been through. Carl did have to put mahogany shims on top & bottom of the neck to fit the pocket correctly, but they are not really visible unless you are looking. The finish does have some cracks, though minimal, and Carl DID seal a couple of spots on the body with glue to insure it is solid as a rock. It is a players bass, not a showroom classic, but the sound is to die for!!
Why am I selling it? I really want a totally US Glaub, but if it doesn't sell... I wont be too disappointed.
It does NOT come with a case or bag, but will be well packed for shipping.
I did also put a new set of chromes on her, so she is ready for your final set-up tweek and then rock on!!!! $750 shipped
The price includes shipping to the lower 48. No international shipping considered.
e-mail with questions, offers, etc... prior to bidding
I reserve the right to end the listing early if the bass sells locally. Thanks for looking.
