USA Crafted Peavy G-Bass Graphite Neck Black Holoflake

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I literally just received and unpacked this beaut from Jefenator. This was purchased for the neck alone and was headed onto one of my Franken51s, but as fate would have it, a nice Moses J neck popped up this morning that would better suit my application.

Therefore, as quick as she came in, out the door she goes again! I'm looking for what I paid: $350 $320 shipped ConUS (original sale thread: FS: Peavey G-Bass Black Holoflake - SOLD ). Sorry no trades.

Very nice graphite-necked axe for the money! I actually found a few entries on the interwebs that state this neck was actually manufactured by Modulus. Not sure how accurate, this being the interwebs and all.

Here's the manual for anyone that's interested: http://www.peavey.com/assets/literat...als/G-BASS.pdf

Some notable stuff:

35" scale

Graphlon Nut

8" Radius Pau Ferro Fingerboard w/21 Nickel Frets

1-VFL Plus Wide-Aperture Internally Active PUP

9V Active Bass, Mid & Treble Boost/Cut 10db, Master Volume

I can't tell you too much about this bass as I literally unpacked it, snapped some pics and repacked it. I didn't even tune it. I will say tho, it felt really light so out of curiosity, I took her down to the digital shipping scale. A whopping 8.15 lbs!! Also, just by handling it, I can tell that this is a REALLY fast neck. Under 1.5" at the nut and about 2.375" at the heel. The holoflake is really nice. It's basically a black bass, but when that light hits it man, it REALLY pops! The place where I take my pics is flooded with light so that's a pretty good representation of what will happen when the spot hits you.

Here's pics. Warts & all. I had to my work cut out as the dings in that finish are really hard to capture:

Thanks for looking!

Wow - nice job with the pics!!

BUMP for a great deal and a great TB'er to deal with. (For my latest project, I'm spending almost this much just on pickups & hardware! )

Thanks! I was actually thinking folks would be sick of that background by now! LOl! It's the top of my Flexo platemaker at work. It also has killer overhead lighting so my iPhone (believe it or not) can really breathe.
