Hello again..... I apologize up front for the long post... so I'll do it in sections:
The bass that is for sale: 2003 USA Lakland Bob Glaub in trans white, with 24K gold guard from RealGoldInc as well as gold anodized guard that came with it. Rosewood fingerboard, reverse tuners, OHSC. Very little play wear, it is VERY ncie and clean, no problems, a STUNNING bass, completely as it was built for a Lakland artist. These list these days for $3,800.
This one was owned and played by a well-known player, who used it at some big shows, (Greatful Dead fans? It was played with Bob Weir).
UPDATE 08/05/2011: PRICE: $1,500 plus actual shipping.

OK... the reason the post is long, (Stop reading now unless you are very serioulsy interested in buying this bass, or have very little to do

Final warning... PAYPAL RANT AHEAD:
I refuse to deal with Paypal anymore. I have nearly 500 all positive ebay feedbacks, since 1998. Never a complaint, never a dispute, never a problem. So a month ago Paypal started placing a "Hold" on my money received... saying it was for some generic "Safety" reason. I called their ever-so-friendly staff, (That means I wasted HUGE time trying to speak to a human, only to be told that this was a mistake, and that it would be removed before another payment was received). Did they remove it? No. 4 times I waited on hold and today I finally spoke to a human supervisor who said that this was because I buy more than I sell, and so it is their policy now to hold money for 21 days. Then when the buyer says so... they'll release the money to the seller. Sucks to be a seller in that world.. I'm supposed to ship a very expensive bass and then just hope they'll get around to giving me some money in a month or so? No thanks. Sounds to me like Paypal/ebay figured out a way to hold money and collect interest off it for a month, simple as that. If they do that to millions of sellers who don't resist, they make a fortune. So, I cancelled this bass off ebay just now, and I guess I will no longer sell anything where paypal is the only option. If you want this bass... I guess postal money orders are good... They aren't owned by ebay or paypal... yet.
OK, the rant is over, and I do feel somewhat better
