Exclamation USA (MIA) Fender Hot Rod Precision w Factory Options and Many Extras - MUST SEE!

GONE (Sold to vikunja)!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I got this on trade. Took her to rehearsal and a gig. Can you believe that I was thinking of selling my '75 P and keeping this beauty? Well, while this is a GREAT bass and more practical and versatile, my '75 is near and dear to my heart, so I'm putting this up for sale.

She is a very, very sweet MIA (Made in America ) Fender Precision. This one is the "Hot Rod or Rodded P-Bass" version. These are no longer in production. More info: http://www.harmony-central.com/Event...ed-P-Bass.html

The closest model they have now is the Fender Tony Franklin Precision which is almost exactly the same bass and costs $1700 - http://www.samash.com/webapp/wcs/sto...er-_-F0086850X

The major and only difference that I can tell, between this bass Tony Franklin Precision linked above is the maple vs rosewood fretboard and the pickup selector. The Tony Franklin employs a 3-way switch which is limiting from a tonal standpoint. The Hot Rodded P uses a Volume/Volume/Tone knob configuration. The advantage to this is that you can dial in exactly how much volume from each pickup you want into the mix. With a 3-way switch, everything is set to "full-on" when selected. You have more tonal possibilities and control with a V/V/T knob configuration like mine has. And for a LOT less than the $1700 price tag! :-)

I have the hardshell case, original hang tags, manuals, Fender factory strap, etc, etc. She's in EXCELLENT condition!

This particular one has one nice factory option and a couple of noteworthy (and expensive) aftermarket upgrades. All factory original parts will be included with the bass!

She has the optional ash body...a $150 option as noted here: http://www.harmony-central.com/Event...ed-P-Bass.html

She also has Duncan Bassline pickups (both the P & J were upgraded)

http://bestbassgear.com/basslines-pickups-sjb2.htm

Hipshot BT4 detuner (for quick access to drop D and other tunings) http://bestbassgear.com/hipshot-detuner-extenders.htm

Original pickups and tuner included! They can be put back on in minutes and the bass would then be 100% stock. No modifications were made to the headstock or body for the pickups or detuner.

This bass is SO versatile! Run the P pickup or the J or blend them together. The Duncan P and Duncan Hot Stack J pickups have more girth and fundamental than the stock OEM pickups. It's a winning package! Great action too! Fully functional, no issues! BLOWING this out at just $GONE (Sold to vikunja)!!!!!!!!!!!!cash firm (which is below what most others are asking for these). Most regular USA P standards sell used for this money with no options and no J pickup etc. And this one is in GREAT shape!

Here is a guy asking a lot more than me and his includes NO aftermarket upgrades like mine: http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/mss/msg/1424377010.html
I've seen others selling for similar prices as his, so I'm certain that mine is a VERY good (if not great) deal. Better hurry, as this will prob be gone fast!

She has low action, plays smooth and not terribly heavy either (prob under 10 lbs). If you look at the back of the neck, there is one little rub mark up near the first fret on the back. It's not a chip, is small and does not effect playability at all (purely cosmetic).

GONE (Sold to vikunja)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you considering selling the stock pickups seperately at all? If so, how much would you be asking?
