These are handcrafted in the famous NY workshop by Stuart Spector and his employees with the utmost care. Stuart decided that since all bass manufactures have their version of the J-style bass, he needed to have one too... one that would trump all others! The Coda basses were created by taking apart a 1962 Jazz Bass and getting all the best designs, then fixing all of the original manufactures flaws! This is easily the BEST Jazz Bass variant to exist, and for a truly incredible price! The paint on this bass is REAL Blue Metallic paint Fender used in the 1960’s. Spector somehow managed to find some that was leftover and stored until now! The electronics feature Aguilar AG 4J-60 pickups and Aguilar preamp, specially made to have Vol/Vol/Tone with 2 band EQ also. The tone pot is of the push/pull type, enabling the bass to be either active or passive! All hardware is USA made by Hipshot, including Hipshot ultra-lite tuning machines. Not enough can be said about this bass, when it was displayed at the NAMM show, everyone who played it was amazed. This one is #19 and comes with a free Spector hard case too!

Sorry it took so long, but heres is the sound clips! Recorded with an Aguilar AG500, all controls centered, direct out into a Presonus FP10. No other compression or EQ. The bass's controls were all set on 0 (except the volume knobs, obviously). All clips are with the bass in "Active" position.

First, some funky slappin' stuff. Next, some simple melodic fingerstyle. Finally, (in the next post) some bad-to-the-bone Jazz bass pick action!

...It's probably obvious I don't play with a pick often

Looks to be about 10.5 pounds according to the bathroom scale, but it seems lighter to me.
