Valenti Vintage Fretless J5 #041

When I first received this bass it had been damaged in transit and it's beautiful finish was dented and cracked. Since then I have had Pat Wilkins completely refinish the body so it's totally mint now and it matches the headstock perfectly.

It's previous owner had the frets removed and had the board lined and finished in high gloss epoxy similar to a Pedulla Pentabuzz. He also installed a Sadowsky VTC preamp to replace the original Aguilar.

It now can offer up a myriad of tonal possibilities in a comfortable and familiar jazz bass design. Low action and lot's of "mwah" are what you'll get with this beauty.

For many of us this jazz bass style is the epitome of bass design and Nino does a top drawer job delivering a VERY high quality instrument at a reasonable price point. If you have been considering a fretless 5 you won't find one with a more versatile voice or that's easier to play than this one!

Here are the current specs:

Valenti Specs: Vintage J5 #041

Alder Body
Sherwood Green Metallic Finish w/Matching headstock
Maple neck w/Epoxy coated, lined Ebony fretboard
1 7/8" @ nut
12" Radius
Graphite Reinforced neck
Nordstrand DC5 pickups
Sadowsky VTC Preamp
Mint/Black/Mint Pickguard
Chrome Hardware
Hipshot B Style Bridge
19mm String Spacing
Hipshot Ultralites Tuners
Contoured heel for easier access to the upper frets
TKL Zero G Style Soft Case
Built in 2006

Asking $1,650.00 shipped and insured in the CONUS

PayPal is gladly accepted

I will also consider trades for 4 or 5 string basses of equal value. I'm not particularly interested in adding cash unless it's for something really special.

Thanks for the bump, yes it's really a very nice fretless. It can do pretty much anything you want tone-wise plus it's easy to play in tune.

It looks like there is a trade deal in the works. Now is the time for a cash offer if you're interested. Otherwise it will likely be gone by tomorrow!
