When I first received this bass it had been damaged in transit and it's beautiful finish was dented and cracked. Since then I have had Pat Wilkins completely refinish the body so it's totally mint now and it matches the headstock perfectly.
It's previous owner had the frets removed and had the board lined and finished in high gloss epoxy similar to a Pedulla Pentabuzz. He also installed a Sadowsky VTC preamp to replace the original Aguilar.
It now can offer up a myriad of tonal possibilities in a comfortable and familiar jazz bass design. Low action and lot's of "mwah" are what you'll get with this beauty.
For many of us this jazz bass style is the epitome of bass design and Nino does a top drawer job delivering a VERY high quality instrument at a reasonable price point. If you have been considering a fretless 5 you won't find one with a more versatile voice or that's easier to play than this one!
