The model is VMJ5 ("Vintage Modern Jazz" 5-String), and this baby is a true beauty and plays really well, too. However, I have far too many basses, including another Valenti 5-String, and I need to "thin the herd", due to a 5-month period of being unemployed or semi-employed with no unemployment compensation!

Bass weighs just a shade under 8.5 lbs.
This bass has a really deep, yet penetrating, tone in active mode (the 18v. preamp helps there), along with a true "passive Jazz Bass" sound when the preamp is defeated via the push/pull knob for the VTC.
A new TKL hardside case with plush interior is included (pic's of that to follow), and this bass would sell for about $2,150 - $2,200 new according to Nino Valenti.
I am asking $1,500 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 (PayPal is fine at this price).
