Let me start off by saying that I really love this bass and the only reason for it's sale is that I have the opportunity to buy a Modulus Quantum fretless that I have been looking for. So up for sale is the following:
Valenti
VMJ5 #116
Weight: 8.45LBS
Swamp Ash Body
Black Pearl Finish w/Matching headstock
Graphite reinforced Maple Neck
Ebony fretboard
1 7/8" Nut Width
35" Scale
Black Pearloid pickguard
Nordstrand NJ5S Pickups
Aguilar OBP-1 w/VTC preamp
Black Hardware
HipShot Vintage Style Bridge
HipShot UltraLite Tuning Gears
Dunlop straplocks
The bass is in mint condition. Not a scratch on it. It has nice low action and plays awesome. It has a nice mellow yet aggressive sound. You can get great finger style and slap sounds out of it.
It comes with a soft/hardshell case that is in mint condition as well. New Low Price. $1,200.00 shipped in the CONUS!
Paypal or U.S. Postal Money Orders are the only forms of payment I take.
No trades.

He said the B is one of the best He has heard on a J and is pretty even. I'm sure the 35" scale has something to do with that.

When I got the bass I had to tweek it a little because both the G and B strings had higher output then the others. But a little lowering of the pickups on both ends did the trick. Tone wise the strings are the same.
As Basswave said it has a really great B string. The 35" scale combined with the pickups and electronics really makes it sound nice.

I am dropping the price down to $1,250.00 shipped in the CONUS! Come on guys and gals this is a great bass. You won't get a new one for anywhere near this price.

This is my last price drop and bump. $1,150.00 shipped CONUS. This is as low as it goes. If it does not sell I will put it on ebay or trade it. Great bass. Great price. Someone step up to the plate.

| | | As a previous owner of 2 Q5's, I'd say keep the Nino bass. Over the years, I've found this to be a constant: Modulus' customer service is horrid. And I mean HORRID. You'd think that if you spend over six grand on their product (2 basses) that they'd take care of you (or at least answer or return your calls). If you gotta have graphite, I'd point you to a Zon or Status. My $.02...but I'll hold an "I told you so," in the wings if you go the Q5 route.
