Very Rare Opportunity - USA Made ATK 5 String in Great Condition!

Sign in to disble this ad
NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!

Here is one you almost NEVER see come up for sale. A USA made Ibanez ATK 5 in great shape. These were handmade in the USA by Dave Bunker (commisioned by Ibanez in the early 90's). Not many were made. I've seen more 4's than 5's in the past. This one is in great shape. A few dings, but nothing major at all. Frets have very little wear. Action is very low.

I recently put brand new strings on here. The Bunker turss system works great (for those of you who know what this is). There are four tiny holes on the back of the body were the pickup screws are. Not sure of this was done at Daves shop or after the fact (maybe an ower replaced the pickup screws and bought them a bit longer and by accident, drilled thu the body???). They are very small holes and effect nothing.

Price of admission of this rare beauty is a reasonable $775! This is a boutique USA made bass and these almost never come up for sale. First come, first serve. I'm also going to list her locally on Craigs this weekend, so better hit me up fast!

Huge BUMP for the Bunker tension free necks!
Super quick action ... piano like delivery ... and wicked sustain ta boot.

IIRC ... these '90's ATK necks were built by PBC Guitar Technology in Pennsylvania before they folded, and Dave took his neck design with him to Washington state and launched Bunker Guitars. I do believe that these ATK's were voted "bass of the year" when PBC was making them.

BTW, same tension free neck design and designer as the Henmann Bevilacqua which runs about 5000$.

I currently own a 1996 ATK305 and it's the oldest... and best of the three ATK305's I have owned.

I wish I had the GAS funds for this USATK5 beauty
