I think these play and sound better than their Fender counterpart.
This is the Neptune, NJ made Kramer Striker 700st
Jazz Bass Special.

All original with the addition of a Hipshot D tuner.

Straight neck, good frets, uber low action. Does a Fender better than a Fender !

I don't believe Strikers were ever made in the US. Their neckplates sometimes read Neptune, NJ which was extremely misleading.

Thanks for the info ! That makes this a 1988 model. A "changing of the guards" year in music. Hair metal was morphing into Nirvana.

This is one of the solid bodies, though. I haven't found any indication that this one is plywood, so this could be one of the "cooler" ones.
