Vintage 1986 G&L L-2000 Bass (GandL)

SOLD

For sale is my G&L L-2000 bass. It was made in April of 1986 and I bought it from the original owner. It has been played and it has a thumb wear spot, buckle rash, and an assortment of dings. There is some fret wear - not bad but the bass could use a set up/fret dressing to be tip top. That said, there is no major damage (drops, cracks, breaks, etc.), the neck is straight, and it sounds monstrous. I have been told that the bass has hand wound pickups but can't verify that. Regardless, the electronics are original. It comes with a beat hardshell case.

I'm looking for $800 shipped.

Thanks.

The bass weighs 9.2 pounds on my digital scale. It does not feel heavy and balances nicely.

The nut width is close to 1 5/8ths. Maybe it is 1 11/16ths.

The wear spot on the back of the neck is smooth.

Hey Yem,

I'm really interested in your bass but, like everyone else, don't have the cash right now. I'd like to use my tax return if this sweetheart is still around. Where near Denver are you?

I'm about an hour up the hill in Silverthorne. I'm in Denver frequently. If you would like, I could call you the next time I'm in town so you could check the bass out in person. Thanks for your interest.

Now, to file my taxes...oh no!

I tried to PM you but it wouldn't submit for some reason. Give me a call @303-455-3098 and leave a message. Thanks, Ray

Below is a picture of the case; it is a wood frame covered by tolex. The front and back rear corners of the case (upper right in the pic) have the most wear. The tolex is pulling away from the case in those spots and the corners have seen duct tape and probably wood glue. It's all in one piece but I wouldn't toss it in the truck.
