Hello All,
For sale here is a '75 Mapleglo Rick in near-mint, almost perfect condition. Beautiful wood grain -- front, back and even the back of the neck!
Original everything including hardshell case.
It has very few blemishes for a bass over 35 years old. There is some very minor buckle rash which has not worn through the finish on the back of the bass (hard to see in the pix -- will try to post more as thread progresses and will email more if requested). there are also a couple of dings near the input jacks and some other very minor ones on the front of the bass and on the headstock, but they are indeed minor and hard to see.
The neck is straight and smooth and plays great, the action is excellent, no dead spots, frets are in great shape, truss rods also in great shape and barely touched, electronics in perfect condition ... it sounds amazing as well.
I love this bass, but I learned on a Fender and just could not get used to playing the Rick. As a result, it stayed in the orig hs case for over 10 years while I toured, gigged and beat up my other basses.
I just had it set up and completely checked out at Fried Guitars in Brooklyn NY -- call Gary at (718) 855-2504 or message him here on talkbass at gfried84
On a side note: Gary's truly a great guy with extremely fair rates who really knows his stuff. Excellent repairs, mods, set-ups and he crafts his own basses as well. If you are in Brooklyn or in the NYC area, I could not recommend him more highly!
Anyway, he'll tell you that he would have bought this one from me if he was still gigging! I am asking $2500, buyer chooses and pays for shipping.
No trades please -- tough times -- I needs ca$h!
I am so confident you will love this bass that I will accept its return with a full refund within 24 hours (minus orig. shipping cost) if you are not satisfied with my representation of it.
I also have perfect feedback on my ebay (liegeyspice4hop) |
