Vintage '82 G&L L-2000 E-series Mahogany Monster. Natural finished Mahogany body, rosewood board, 1-5/8 nut, black krinkle bridge and control plate, original preamp, serial #B009251, 9.5 lbs.
Body is a 9.5 out of 10 and neck is an 8 out of 10 with lots of frets life as fret wear appears to be minimal. Neck is straight and fast, all pots sound clean and noise free, all switches appear to be doing thier job. IMHO
$999 shipped

If ebony, is it gaboon or macassar?
This is posted twice by the way.

Chef, can you please make your monthly post about the subtle differences between the different flavors of the L2000?

the "E" designation indicates it was one of the earliest produced. also, the skunk stripe on a non-Maple fingerboard seems to be rare, as well.
nice bass!

Although I generally play mine in passive mode anyway, so not sure why I asked... |
