Vintage Electra (Matsumoku) P Bass with Villex

I bought this bass from Knifemaker a while ago and had a a Villex P pickup added professionally...including a mid-range tone control. The bass plays and sounds great (exceptionally punchy and with a wide range of sounds...the Villex makes it sound active, although there is no preamp).

I have another Electra which also sits in the corner because I have too many basses. So this needs to go, with regret.

Anyway, I have given it on consignment to a local music store, with the thought that it probably wouldn't sell here. Which is, I guess, dumb.

Electra P Bass

The bass looks identical.Try to imagine that the pickup says Villex on it and that there are now three brass knobs (TTV) and a football jack is now on the side.

Comes with a new set of Ernie Ball coated slinkys and a vintage Electra hardshell case which has knocked around a bit, but works and looks extra funky.

Bump for a ballsy bass. I can probably find the pickup that was on the bass when I got it. But the Villex makes the bass come alive.

I've got an Ibanez with a Villex and can vouch that they are in fact the bomb. The passive mid control is sweet.
