Vintage Guild M-85 w/ OHSC - $2000

You are looking at a vintage Guild M-85 bass. Bass is in good shape for it's age...it does have a couple of issues with it. First the most obvious is the back plate for the cavity is missing. Secondly at some point during it's life the toggle switch was removed...I've since put one back similar to the original, but haven't wired it up yet...I'll let the new owner do that. The handle was missing off the case, but have since replaced it. The good news is that everything else is all original. Bass was recently setup and plays well...neck looks good! Nice deep, warm tone...this is not for the slappers. Approx 11lbs in weight. It does have your normal dings and scratches for something that old. Serial number is 150084, which I believe is a 77'...but correct me if I'm wrong. Knobs are a little loose on the pots, but still turn fine. Feel free to email me with any questions you might have. Looking for $2500 shipped. Will accept partial trades as well...if you don't have anything on the trade list below..shoot it to me anyway, you never know. I've only done a couple of transactions on TalkBass..but have over 500 positive feedbacks on Ebay and can give references if needed.

Possible trade items -
Gibson Les Paul Standard Bass
Vintage Fender J or P Basses
Japanese Fenders
Japanese copies (Greco, Tokai..etc.)
Guild Jetstar Bass
Hagstrom Swede Bass
Anything old with 4 strings on it!

THAT is an awesome bass. Well out of my price range and needs at the time. Good luck with the sale... I wish I could justify it.

Nice! I had the guitar version of this. It was my first guitar and I had it for 24 years. I sold it a few months ago to finance an EBMM Sterling 5HH. Good luck!

I own one just like this. Great bass.

Hello!

I´m interested in your bass.
Been looking for one for some time.
Saw that you could be interested in some kind of trade.
I´ve two of my basses in mind:
Ovation Magnum I 1974-79
Fender Precision Sqiuer Japan 1982
Looking forward to hear from You!

Anders
