Vintage " S9 " Era Pbass ...

Very nice original ( except ashtrays ) " S9 " Fender P bass ,
w/OHSC ... has flats, Chromes on it .. has Dunlop straplocks installed , it will come with the original strap pins also .

From my understanding Fender made a crapload of necks and bodies in 1978-79 ... getting way ahead of production ...

this bass has matching " S9 " serial number on head/body ..
I bought it as a "79" ... but after peeking under the pickguard at the pots .. they are dated 81 ... a few folks here on the forum think the neck stamp indicates 82 ... the molded case is definately an 80's thing .. So , lets call it an 82 ...

but it's a great looking / playing bass ... ash / rosewood ...
not too heavy ... under 10 for sure ...

i had this on Ebay for a week , mostly answering stupid questions .. !! and having to jack up the price to cover Ebay's current 9% sales charge .. !! I'll keep it here for a couple weeks ... then it will go back into the studio until the Xmas sales period .. !

Shrinking the studio down is on track ...

Korg -M3 - gone , 74 Swede - gone , Yam S90xs- going ,
PA & lights - gone ...

new keyboard ' on order ' ...

almost time to sell of VS2400CD with lots of extras ...

... so , the Pbass ... can stay or go ... selling it is not necessary for raising funds for new expensive keyboard .. !

just here to see if it appeals to someone who would get more use out of it .. !?

must have Noiseless / Humbucking / stacked / split ... whatever kind , No single coils .!

gotta have some kind of case or heavy gig bag for shipping .

FYI ... my old Fender is one of the cleanist used basses i've ever had/seen in my years of playing since 1974 ... !

it is once again listed on Ebay ... let the silly question begin.

Back from lunch on the Gulf bump ...

heard a trio at Sam's on Hudson Bch .. bass was pretty good ... sadly the PA was rather muddy ... i guess nobody thinks to sound check more than 10 feet from their gear .. ha !

This old Pbass is still wearing flats ... but that will change pretty soon ... i have another bass that is taking care of the flats thing ...

so , if anyone wants this Pbass as it is now .. speak up..!
trade up ... don't sit on the fence for to long ...!

No vintage Real Fender Pbass love ...?

why buy a parts bass , .. or a cheaper brand new bass , .. or an off brand bass ,... when those will only loose value .. immediately .. !

why not Invest in something that is actually a good investment ..?? and something you can enjoy and care for as it appreciates ... !
