Wal MK III 5-string, Trade?

After giving it a go or two..
I have come to the conclusion that I cannot play a 5-string bass the way they
were created to be played. So I am interested in trading my 5-string Wal MK III
for a 4-string Wal.

It Is a beautiful bass that is in pristine condition. You can find a link to
some photos of the bass here.

It is a 2002 Wal MK III with olive ash facings and a fretted rosewood
fingerboard. Everything on this bass works flawlessly and it sounds amazing. I
wish I could play it to take advantage of its beautifully powerful sound.

I am interested in trades with Wal MK III or MK II styles only. Trade interests
include fretted and fretless along with the midi version.

Please do not offer any others models or brands of bass for trade.

I have a few trade stipulations and would be happy to discuss them with any
serious offers.

I can be emailed at stoyo1@mac.com

Thank you,
Stoyo

Wal bass trade update:

Wal Bass Trade Update:

In addition to a 4-string MKII or MKIII, I would also trade for a 5-string fretless MKII or MKIII.

You are probably thinking, Why would he trade a 5 string for a 5 string?
I have to give you all the low down or this message would sound crazy. It probably still will…

I acquired this immaculate 5-string Olive Ash MKIII from a gentleman whom you may know as Bob Knarley or knarleybass about 3 or 4 months ago. I traded a 2011 4-string Birdseye Maple MK III that I had made for me by Wal when Paul reopened production back up in 2010. I HIGHLY regret that decision! The bass has sentimental roots that I was unaware of at the time I traded.. Plus I was lured by the sheer beauty & condition of this MKIII 5-er.
Now, fully aware that I need to get my bass back I have been in contact with Bob Knarley. He is an amazing guy and has stated that if I found him the right MKII or III he would be interested in trading me back. So, I'm on a mission to get my bass back!
Please take a look at the link and see if you would be willing to trade a Wal for a Wal, then I can be reunited with mine! http://www.talkbass.com/forum/images/smilies/help.gif

Thank you,
Stoyo

I see a Hipshot Extender key on the bottom tuner. Strange for a standard tuned 5'er...

But still, absolutely beautiful bass man! Would you consider just taking cash?

Yeah, The drop tuner was a take off from my 4-string MK-III. I wanted to keep the black hardware when I traded for it so that was the only "extra" tuner I had at the time.

I have had a bunch of cash offers on it. Unfortunately I need to trade in order to accomplish my end goal. See the trade update message for details on the situation.

Thanks for your interest in the bass!

I would trade my MKII for your MKIII, but than in a month time I would need to find another MKII to trade for your MKII that would already change hands, so complicated.
Bump for big Wal bass.

Bump for big Wal bass.
Thanks for the appreciated bump

I'll take the complicated trade! Ha!
I just need to get back into a 4-string. Unless you have a 5 string fretless. Lets see your trade!

Ah, he didn't close the thread.

I'm now the proud owner of this Wal MK 3. It's amazing!
