I put this together from Warmoth because I wanted a jazz antigua badly and didn't really want to wait to come across one. Within a year or two, I had three antiguas plus this one. I currently have two Fender 1978 antiguas, so I think I can safely sell this. It is in pristine flawless condition, with the exception of a tiny scratch on the back of the headstock. It would not show up in pictures. It has no playing time on it, no gigs, and has never really left its case in two years. The body and neck are warmoth. The pickguard was painted by warmoth as well. The pickups are from a Geddy Lee with the raised pole pieces. The electronics are the vintage cloth wiring kit from basspartsresource. It has Fender Schaller straplocks. The bridge is authentic Fender vintage style. The tuners are Fender vintage with the Fender logo on them. The neck plate is a Fender "F" four bolt plate. I spared no expense when assembling this. The neck alone was over $550. It is 21 fret and is bound in pearl.
If I sell it, I'd like to get $1300 OBO CONUS.
I'd guess the weight around 9 lbs, but that is strictly a guess. I'll try to get some more pics up, but you get the idea

Holy beautiful bass! If I had that kind of coin to throw away at the moment this wouldn't just be a free bump!
How much did that pickguard run you from warmoth? And is that neck bound in pearl too? |

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Nebraska | | | You have to get the pickguard painted at the same time they do the body, but I can't recall how much extra it was.
I was told when I ordered that this antigua should not turn green as the 70's Fenders do.
The neck is indeed pearl bound |

| | | | I've got one of the same, only the neck is an Allparts, with a Fender logo.
The pickuard paint ran me an extra $75 on top of the price of the guard itself, IIRC.
My only regret is that I didn't ask to not have the body holes drilled, and then had my luthier drill it as a three bolt. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
