Warmoth Jazz Bass CAR D-Tuner Extender HSC

Sign in to disble this ad
Here I have a Warmoth build Jazz bass, quality parts. Though I suspect it, I cannot confirm the body is Warmoth. I am certain the neck is Warmoth (for I saw the stamp). I had the neck off so long ago, I can't remember if it said "Warmoth" in the pocket or not. 9.2 lbs. on my digital scale. The body is surely alder and of very high quality. Candy apple red with matching headstock. Jazz neck (1.5 inch) with a vintage tint. Rosewood fretboard. Vintage frets. Unbranded ultra light tuners with D tuner extender on the fourth string. Brushed steel tuner and control knobs. The extender works perfectly, string four nails a low D and an E on my quartz tuner. Brand new EB Slinkys (.045-.100). Badass II bridge. Schaller locking strap buttons. Body is routed with the jack on the side and the front jack hole has been plugged, and there is a battery cavity neatly cut into the back with a plate screwed over it. This bass is prepped to be wired active and another control knob added, but it is currently wired passive VVT. I forget the exact nature of the pickups, but they sound much like those on my American Fender Jazz basses. This bass sounds and plays awesome. It is a 9.5/10 cosmetically, I could only find a couple of tiny dents. Piano-like resonance, depth plus sparkle, growly, ballsy, a slapper's dream. It could probably use a set up, string four is a little buzzy on the higher frets when I dig in, but I have a light touch so it wasn't a problem for me. The neck-body relationship is good and the neck itself is straight, no warps or other weirdness. That's just to let everyone know (in case there is any doubt) your new bass almost always requires a set up to taste. There is one scratch (NOT a crack) on the face of the headstock above the string 1 tuner. Hard to see unless you get right up on it. Fender Deluxe blue label molded HSC, also in good shape.

We all know you can't build a Warmoth bass with these components for less than $1K. Shipped for $550.00 CONUSA, I think someone will be getting a great deal.
