Warmoth smallish P-Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a P-Bass made from Warmoth parts. The body seems to be on the smallish side of p-basses, but it's definitely not their Dinky P. Really awesome color, if you ask me. The body has some nicks and dings, which I've tried to show in the pictures. The most significant one is the one on the upper edge where the paint (and a very small amount of wood) is missing. I don't want anyone to be unpleasantly surprised, so please ask if you'd like more pics or description.

The neck on this guy is a solid, standard, superfast P-bass neck. I think it's finished with oil, and the frets are really small (think guitar-sized), so you can get really low action with very little buzz. You really can move quickly on this thing. I can't find a single scratch on the neck. Near perfect shape. There is a mineral streak behind the E-string (you can see it in the photos). This is nothing more than a discoloration of the wood, but I figured I'd mention it in case that's important to anyone.

It has nice Schaller tuning machines and a solid Gotoh bridge. I'm not sure what the electronics are, but it sounds like a standard P-bass.

Let's try $350 shipped in the continental US. Add $30 and I could include either a Fender gigbag or an okay hard case that is way too big for this bass. Or if you add $40-50 I'll go out and find a better hard case made to fit a Fender style bass (I've seen a few used lately). I was thinking of parting this guy out, but the neck fits so nice and tightly that I thought this neck and body should stay together. But let me know if you're interested in parts. I'm thinking something along these lines:
Neck: $130
Body: $130
Tuners: $40
Bridge: $30
Pickguard w/all electronics: $50

OR

Neck w/tuners: $160
Body w/everything else: $200

Paypal is fine, don't worry about the fees. I'm open to hearing what people have for trade, but I mostly need money at the moment. All prices are negitiable though, so feel free to PM me or email me (probably faster) at sutt0073@umn.edu

pics?

Not sure why the pics aren't coming through (if anybody knows, please tell me and I'd be glad to fix it). You can still go to the web addresses to see the photos though. Word.

wow, love the color! great price too (should give many "lower" priced (and some not so) fenders a run for the money, in terms of quality and feel). 'best of luck with sale' bump

That is a really nice looking bass for an excellent price. I was thinking about building my own and it's hella expensive. I probably would even sell mine for that low of a price. Good luck on sale man!
