Warmoth Vintage Styled P-Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Alder body, vintage white finish.
Birdseye maple neck, rosewood board, vintage tint finish.
Fender "Original" Precision pickup (I can include a Reverend pickup if anyone is looking for a more modern sound).
Threaded saddle bridge and chrome covers are genuine Fender vintage replacement.
Schaller BML tuners.
Mint green Warmoth guard.

I've been bitten by the Warmoth bug, so I'm looking to sell this one to finance another. There is a small ding on the top of the body near the bridge between the A and D strings, but it's pretty well covered by the ash tray. Asking $850 shipped.

I'll snap some more pics this evening. This is the pickup:

http://www.fender.com/products/searc...tno=0992046000

It is just called the Original P Bass pickup - it's what they use on the MIA Reissues and the Custom Shop P-basses. Alnico magnets, vintage cloth wiring, etc.

Awesome. Did you build this one? Is it your first warmoth build? Any problems with the way it's put together, etc?

Oooh, also important: J or P nut width?
What kind of strings is it currently strung with? What I'm getting at is, would the nut need to be recut for the typical 45-105 strings?

and one of the ding - when looking at the bass straight on, the ding is exactly underneath (covered by) the A-string.

The nut width is 1-5/8. It is currently strung with GHS Precision Flats, 45-105.

It's the first Warmoth I've built. It plays beautifully, and I didn't encounter anything I would call a problem in putting it together. There was some minor paint chipping around a few of the pickguard screw holes, and there are three holes in the body for the thumbrest (the pickguard I used for marking the two thumbrest holes didn't quite line up with the pickguard that is on it now). Aside from the ding under the A-string, there isn't anything that's visible when fully put together.
