This is a Warr Artist 8 string touchstyle bass. It is presently tuned Eb (below bass guitar) to D in fourths, using the standard light gauge Warr strings, but replacing the .009 with a .0085. It has the piezo option installed.
The guitar is in very good shape -- the body is excellent. Here's all the issues I know about
:
* One of the little individual bridges is scratched (I tried to photograph it) from where the adjustment screw stripped and had to be drilled out. You could replace it if it bugged you enough. It works fine.
* One of the pots is noisy. Once (just once) it was intermittent for me, but it worked itself out, and the noise has become progressively less over time. I think it's very likely that contact cleaner would fix it altogether, but I haven't tested that theory.
* It badly needs new strings. When I bought it, it was tuned B-Bb, and could go back with a setup. Otherwise, Warr light strings. I change the 9 to an 8.5 because I think it feels better, but you can obviously do whatever you want.
Comes with high quality original gig bag and a "slider" strap.
Warr Guitars. This guitar would be a little under 4K new. I have no idea when it was built, but I am the second owner.
