Warrior Signature 5 string

Sign in to disble this ad
2004 Signature 5 string bolt-on in primo condition. Spalted Maple top. not sure if the body is ash or alder (I think it's ash though). Wenge/purple heart/wenge neck. Purple heart finger board. 24 fret. 2 bart jazz pickups. 18V bart pre-amp with mid-freq select switch. Has warrior croc print style leather ohsc fit for the signature body style bass. All in all, this bass new would likely cost

This is by far the best playing bass I've ever had in my hands. The action is so low, if it was any lower it would be under the frets. The sound is fantastic. I'm just not sure if I'm feeling it though. I could use some cash right now as well. So trades + cash considered or straight sale as well.

Edit: just gave her a good look over as I was taking the pics, I wasn't able to see a scratch or bump on it anywhere.

Ideally: (only looking for 5s)
Fender Marcus Miller 5
anything sadowsky
lakland (no DJs please)
nordstrand
F bass
Low End
Fender 5s
Ken Smith
Drozd
Fodera Jazz

I don't have pics yet, but will try to get some up asap (like this afternoon/evening).

$1950 + shipping.

was just shown this site. looks like the old warrior site. (the new current one www.warriorinstruments.com is about useless at the moment.) The model on this bass appears to be the Signature Soldier model. All specs can be seen listed under that model. The main difference between the Armed Soldier and Sig. Soldier appears to be the fancy tops.

thanks! I have really had some cool basses come through my hands. I know I'm seriously going to kick myself when this thing goes. The neck is absolute butter and the action is by far the best I've ever had. The sound is awesome. The J pickups with this pre-amp are amazingly versatile. The Mid freq. select switch is awesome. So much so, I'm considering having my Lakland 55-02 altered to add one. This one does the Jaco back pickup bark so so nicely. It also goes to super fat pillowy bass. However, it's just too pretty for me. =) I'm afraid to take it on the road for fear of dinging it or something.

I'm dropping the price a bit cause I've found another bass I would like. So here it goes.

I think this used to be my bass. If so...I got it direct from JD at NAMM.

Man, this just gets closer and closer to a price that I could actually do and I don't know if that's bad or good, lol.

I feel you man. I love the look of "boutique" basses like this and MTD but, I've had basses with exotic tops etc... and I never want to play them because I don't want to mess them up.

Simple is better for me...

I must bump this beautiful bass again.

I love MTDs too..but again, I would totally be afraid of messing it up live. I'm really looking for something in a J5 with no fancy tops. A Marcus Miller 5 would be in my top list right now.
